Pilgrimage to Steeg 2013
We are companions on a journey that led us from 21 to 26 May to Steeg, the birthplace of Anna Dengel in Austria. A group of 17 MMS and Associate Members from Germany, Uk and Ethiopia were enthusiastic to walk upstream along the river Lech with its constant murmur, to share about life, to enjoy the abundance of flowers in the meadows and snow-capped mountains, and to face the cold, partly freezing temperatures.

Rubanda Health Centre, Uganda
This year, 2015, the community in Rubanda will celebrate twenty-seven years of life and mission since its foundation in 1988. Currently six Medical Mission Sisters, from Uganda, Kenya and India, are in mission there. Primary health care continues to be the main focus. Services provided include: outpatient, inpatient and delivery, mobile maternal and child health, care of vulnerable children and their guardians, laboratory. Due to an increase in the number of deliveries, a new maternity unit has recently been completed, so that expectant mothers will be able to enjoy their own special 'space' away from the other activities of the centre.
MMS Elaine Kohls is honoured for her great contribution towards providing clean drinking water, Wolisso, Ethiopia - July 19th 2015
Approximately 80% of all illness around the world, including malaria, typhoid and dysentry, can be attributed to polluted water. Millions of individuals also suffer ill health and disease because of inadequate sanitation and waste disposal, polluted soil and air, poor housing and insect/rodent infestation.
Because we know that improving these environmental conditions dramatically reduces the instance of disease, Medical Mission Sisters have long been focusing our attention on them.
